Online Student Registration

Dear all yoga students. To serve you better, Breazy Yoga is moving forward to accept  student registration online. Please follow the link below, and submit your student registration form by 15th September 2017
Registration is FOC,  just click this link to open the form. You will need a profile phot saved in your device in image format such as JPEG, GIF etc.

After collected your submissions, we issue you an individual student number.

Starting on 1st September, you will need your student registration number in order to purchase Coupons. (Without student registration, you can still attend classes by paying walk-in fee. And coupons you purchase before 31st August is still valid to its stamped expiry)

In the end of September, we will close this WhatsApp group, and open a new WhatsApp broadcast to post monthly schedule, class information etc. You will be included in the broadcast only by your request when you submit an online student registration.

New Studio

Happily announcing.the opening of our new studio. We have moved from our old studio yesterday, and all classes from this week onwards will he held here: 29A, Jalan Seri Baiduri 1, Taman Seri Baiduri, 43500 Semenyih. (Off Jalan Bandar Teknologi Kajang. It's only walking distance from our old studio, and the same row as balai polis and kk mart.

We are moving soon!

In January 2016, we will be moving to a new studio in the neighborhood. It's only 100 meters away from our current studio, that has been hosting our classes for past 8 years. The new studio faces the main road of Jalan Bandar Teknologi, and only 8 doors away from the police station.

108 Surya Namaskar on International Yoga Day

Our annual outdoor event: 108 Surya Namaskar is back again on this summer solstice. This year, the UN announced the 21st June as International Yoga Day. Let's cerebrate the solstice's day break with us.

Light vegetarian refreshment will be prepared by Kazumi after sweating hard, also potluck is welcome.

The proceeding of the event will go to the Bellur Trust (BKSSNT) to contribute to the charitable project by Guruji BKS Iyengar.

Iyengar Yoga for Men - How Yoga is best for men

Is Yoga a Women’s Domain?

When you think of Yoga, the first image pops up in your mind might be like… a serene woman in white fit attire, sitting in a lush nature landscape with her legs crossed, eyes peacefully closed. That image could have come from real-estate ads on billboard. Anyway, Yoga always gives you feminine impressions like a nail salon does. Or, you may have more proximate experience such as sending your wife or daughter to a Yoga studio, and had a glance of a class dominated by women.

Yoga was Originally Men’s-Only Club

Think of yet another (older) stereotypical image of Yoga – an Indian sage clad with a loincloth, long-haired and bearded, thin as famished, tweaking his body parts in an impossible positioning. Traditionally in India (where Yoga was originated), it had been taught and studied almost exclusively by men for millennia. Turning point came, probably, in 1970s due to some popular noontime TV series that introduced Yoga to housewives in USA, spreading it like wildfire, and set the trend of women’s start-ahead in modern Yoga.

How Yoga Benefits Modern Men

As our world getting more and more complex, speedy and, inevitably, stressful place to reside, Yoga is quickly stepping into limelight as an antidote. More and more people are turning to Yoga because of its myriad life benefits. Unlike other exercise schemes, Yoga works for our overall wellness in all panes: physical, physiological, psychological and even social.  There are flood of testimonies worldwide that support Yoga’s therapeutic benefit from back pain to blood and Endocrinol issues, depression to addiction. And if Yoga is so good a panacea, why should men be kept away from it any longer?

1.    Iyengar Yoga for Every Size, Shape and Age

It does not matter how you are, you can start Yoga practice. Iyengar Yoga addresses your limitations such as weight issue (over / under), inflexibility, and weakness or pain due to lifestyle,  age, injury or sickness. Yoga will expand your personal boundaries by improving condition from where you are – in a non-competitive way.

2.    Balance between Strength and Flexibility

Men seem to have tendency to grow tighter than women. As a bread-earner, you might have been stuck behind an office desk for years (or even decades). Lacking exercise and lubrication, your muscles became very stiff and at the same time frail and brittle. Or as a challenge-lover, you might pump weights 4 times a week in a gym. Your muscles are bulky but lack of supple length in movements.  In either case, if the strength and flexibility are imbalance, they become your weakness – predisposing you to limited mobilities, or worse, greater risk of injury. Yoga will improve both flexibility and strength harmoniously.

3.    Yoga Works for the Entire Body System

In sports such as tennis or football, you only utilize 10 to 15 % of the body, whereas Yoga provides a workout for every muscle, joint and even organ. You work every system: cardiovascular, skeletal, muscular, neurological and endocrinal.

4.    Yoga Restores Energy Levels

Unlike heated games of football match, Yoga doesn’t overwork your adrenal grand, and does not exhaust adrenaline (which makes you fatigued). Rather, by gently stretching the muscles, you stimulate happy hormones such as endocrine and serotonin. And unlike a gym workout, Yoga practice doesn't deplete your body of all of your energy after a class. Instead, it actually oxygenates the blood and increases your vigor, making you feel more aware and revitalized. Each Iyengar Yoga class will end with brain-calming postures and relaxation sequence.

5.    Yoga Improves Sports Performance

If you are a sportsman, Yoga is beneficial for you. When muscles are fatigued, they build up lactic acid, and Yoga, which stretches and releases tension from muscles, helps flush that away. Runner and swimmers find Yoga the best activity after long endurance training. Also Yoga corrects misalignment of the body created by some sports that involve asymmetrical repetitive movements such as Golf and Badminton. Also, by harmonizing mental, physical and emotional strength, Yoga makes you better athletes at your chosen sport.

6.    Yoga Makes You a Better Lover

We are not only talking about improvement in sexual performances which involves flexibility and endurance. Yoga cultivates your tenderness and lovingness, which most women cherish more than physical pleasure or material satisfaction you could ever provide her.

7.    Yoga Keeps You Cool

Men can't seem to let their egos go easily. Traditionally, men have more difficulty doing that than women. Through Yoga, you train your mind to quiet down and focus, and thus improve your patience, anger management and temper control, which makes you perform smoother in any social/ family/ business circumstances. A man who practices Yoga will make better husband, lover, father, boss (even politician!). The world would definitely be a better place, if more men practice Yoga.
